Jesus Explains Eternal Life to Nicodemus

John 3:1-17

With all the distractions of life, it can be hard both to stay present in the moment and also to think about what comes beyond our current goals. While God invites us to connect today, there is also a promise of a future with no pain, distraction, or suffering. This week, we will explore that promise and what it means for how we live now.

DAILY CHALLENGE

Choose one or more of these Daily Challenges to do this week.

• Tell somebody else about the gift of eternal life Jesus offers each one of us. Share with that person how knowing you have eternal life through Jesus has affected your own life.

• Make your own “birth announcement” to celebrate the new life you’ve found in Jesus.

• Look for signs of life this week, and make a list of new analogies that can help you better understand eternal life. Ask God to help you understand in new ways how great this gift is.

FAITH JOURNAL

What does it mean to be a child of God?

TALK WITH YOUR FAMILY

Read Romans 6:1-10 with your family, and discuss these questions:

• What does eternal life with Jesus mean for our lives here on earth?

• How has your life shown that Jesus is alive in you?

• What does it mean to die with Christ and to be alive in Christ?

As a family, create a photo album or list of people you hope will come to know Jesus. Use this photo album or list as a prayer list, asking God to give you opportunities to share your faith in Jesus with these individuals.
