READ: Isaiah 53:11
(Answer the question/s below in your app notes)
• What does it mean to you to see the “light of life”?
The beginning of Isaiah 53:11 says: “After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied.” What kind of suffering have you had to endure in your life? How does it feel to know you’ll suffer in the future?
Don’t spiral yet! Isaiah promises suffering, but the text promises hope afterward too: “He will see the light of life and be satisfied.” Knowing there’s something to look forward to changes how we experience the suffering, doesn’t it? So think about this for a minute: What light have you seen in your life? What light do you think you’ll see—or hope you’ll see—one day? Jesus warned that suffering is part of living in a broken world. But there is also hope. There is light along the way.
