TUESDAY - Kids Podcast
DEVOTIONAL:
One day, Esau came home from working in the fields. He was so hungry that all he could think about was food! His brother Jacob was cooking stew, and it smelled delicious. Esau wanted some right away, but Jacob asked for something very important in return: Esau’s birthright. That birthright was a special blessing for the oldest son. Esau was so desperate to eat that he traded it for a bowl of stew! Esau made a big choice without thinking. Sometimes we can do the same thing—when we want something right now, we forget what really matters. God wants us to stop and think before we make choices. We can ask God to help us be patient and wise, even when we really, really want something.
BIBLE VERSE:
Genesis 25:29-34
QUESTION:
Do you think it was unkind of Jacob to make this deal with his brother when he was so desperate for food? Why?
PRAYER:
Jesus, please help me to be a kind person to my brothers, sisters, and family. Amen.
