DEVOTIONAL:

There are a lot of things that Jesus could’ve said to the disciples when He saw them for the first time. What He chooses to say is, “Peace be with you!” What a nice thing to say to a group of people who were probably pretty scared! Jesus must have had the disciples’ worry and confusion in mind when He said this, because Jesus always is thinking about us! Jesus is always working to bring peace into our lives, and into the world. When you feel unsure, remember Jesus’ words: “Peace be with you!”

Dear God, please bring peace to all the chaos of the world today. Thank you for the peace we have in you. Amen.
