DEVOTIONAL:
Even though Jacob and Esau were brothers, the Bible describes them as being opposites of each other. While Esau liked to be outside and hunt, Jacob, a homebody, preferred to stay inside instead. There’s nothing wrong about being different. It’s a beautiful thing that we are each unique! But in the story of Jacob and Esau, they let their differences divide them. In today’s world, we may be tempted to only see the differences between ourselves and our brothers, sisters, family, friends, neighbors, or enemies. God wants us to embrace our differences and live harmoniously with each other despite the diversity among us.
BIBLE VERSE:
Genesis 25:27
QUESTION:
What makes you different from other people?
PRAYER:
Dear God, thank you for making me different and special. Please help me to be kind to people who are different from me. Amen.
