WEDNESDAY - Growing In Truth

DEVOTIONAL:

Jacob continued to be sneaky, and this time, to his father Isaac. Maybe you have grandparents or great grandparents who use hearing aids or thick glasses for their vision. As we get older, our ears and eyes are not as strong. Isaac was old. Jacob knew this, and tricked his by pretending to be his brother Esau!

God asks us to tell the truth. If Jacob was following God, he would not have done this to his dad. When we don’t listen to God, we often hurt other people, even our family members! This week, try to listen to God and always tell the truth.

BIBLE VERSE: Genesis 27:2-13

QUESTION: Have you ever told a lie? How did you feel afterwards?

PRAYER: Dear God, help me to be honest and true, especially with my family members, and to listen to You as You guide me every day. Amen.
