WEDNESDAY - Growing In Truth
DEVOTIONAL:
One time, I went on a trip to see the Eiffel Tower in Paris. I took a long plane ride. Then, I took a taxi from the airport to get to my hotel for the night. After a good night’s rest, I woke up, ready to see what I’d come to Paris for! I took the metro, which is a special train that runs underneath the city like how worms move through dirt in your backyard! Then, finally, I arrived, and I saw the beautiful tower in all its glory.
I had seen so many pictures of the Eiffel Tower. But I wanted to see it for myself. There’s something about seeing things with your own eyes. Thomas understood this feeling, and told Jesus that he wanted to see the scars on His hands. Just like I wanted to see the Eiffel Tower for myself, Thomas wanted to see Jesus—and when he did, he knew that Jesus was alive!
BIBLE VERSE: John 20:24-25
QUESTION: What is something amazing that you have seen with your very own eyes?
PRAYER: Dear Jesus, help me to see you in the world around me, and help me to believe. Amen.
