Jesus Appears to His Disciples

John 20:19-31

Trust doesn’t always come easily, and that’s okay. Many teenagers wrestle with doubts and questions about faith, sometimes for the first time. This is a space where your questions are welcome. You don’t have to pretend or have everything figured out. As we explore together, we’ll keep coming back to who Jesus is and why He can be trusted.

DAILY CHALLENGE

Choose one or more of these Daily Challenges to do this week.

• Is there something you’re constantly worrying or thinking entirely too much about? Start each morning by asking God to help you have faith for that situation.

• Set aside a half-hour sometime this week and really think about the following question: What does your faith really mean to you? Write down your answers if you can, and spend time thanking God for the faith you already have.

• Talk to some more mature Christians about how their faith has made a difference in their lives, and then listen to their answers.

FAITH JOURNAL

What does it mean for you to have faith?

TALK WITH YOUR FAMILY

Read Hebrews 4:14-16 with your family, and discuss these questions:

• What encouragement can we find from these verses when we have doubts or struggles?

• What might it mean to hold firmly to our faith even while we’re struggling? Ask each family member to describe a time he or she struggled with doubts.

Ask if those doubts were ever resolved, and if so, how. Then pray together that you’ll all be blessed with the ability to believe in Jesus even though you can’t see him.
