God Provides Water

God remains faithful and patient even when we struggle to trust in Him.

Big Picture:
Reflect on God’s patience in your life.
God Provides Water
Exodus 17:1-7
As you grow, you may start to notice your emotions more clearly. You might feel happy one moment and frustrated or sad the next, without always knowing exactly why. Sometimes those feelings come out as complaints, but often they are really signs of fear, stress, or expectations that were not met. This week, you are invited to bring every emotion to God, whether it is anger, joy, fear, or confusion. As you study, notice how God’s patience meets you right where you are and helps you work through whatever you are feeling.
TRY THIS
As a family, look at all the different forms water takes. Look at water in a glass, as ice cubes, as steam coming off a hot cup of coffee or a teapot, as dew on the grass in the morning, and so on. Each time you see water in one of its forms, thank God for water and for all the other things he provides you with.
DAILY CHALLENGES
• HOW have you seen God be patient in your life? Journal about it for 10-15 minutes this week.
• HOW has God been patient with someone else in your family? Ask a parent, sibling, or grandparent to tell you about his or her own experiences with God’s patience.
• GIVE back to others. God’s been patient with you, so practice being patient with others this week.
