Scripture: Philippians 1:12-14

• What tough situations are you facing? How can you be an example of faith that encourages others?

The things that we are wrestling with can be encouraging to others because the way God will help us through it can give hope that God can do the same for them. Whenever we did communion at my old church, we would make space for people to share testimonies. I used to be bored with the random stories and would often end up laughing when they got really strange. As I grew older, I began to pay closer attention to the testimonies that were shared. I heard a woman share a story about how God helped her through a financial challenge. That story stuck with me because I was going through a difficult time navigating my college finances. Hearing that woman’s story encouraged me to trust in God, regardless of the outcome. Thankfully, things worked out the way I had hoped, but I would not have had that hope unless I listened to that story. Our stories have the power to encourage others.
