John 5:25-26

• How have the words of Jesus given you life?

One of my favorite things that Jesus says comes at the end of the Gospel according to Matthew. Jesus’ last words to his disciples in that narrative are that He will be with them until the end of time. Those words have given me life in the moments I have felt terribly alone and in the moments I’ve felt abandoned. Whether it was because of friends or another thing I was navigating, remembering that Jesus promises to be with me always gives me strength. Spend some time this weekend reading the words of Jesus through the gospels. Hold onto one of those quotes and keep it in your heart–for the good times and hard times.
