Matthew 23:16-17

• How does the guidance of your friends or other people compare with God’s guidance?

While God’s guidance will bring us to goodness, the ways God guides us vary. Many times, God’s guidance appears in the form of people who are in our lives. Through people who care about us, through people who want the best for us. It is important to know which voices direct us closer to God’s guidance and which voices lead us into harm or serving ourselves. The voices that direct us to align with God’s guidance—into caring for ourselves and those around us more—are voices we should learn to trust. God wants to guide us, and God will use the people in our lives to help us lean into that guidance.
